TRACEABILITY

State-of-the-art technology for maximum security

fTRACE uses different state-of-the-art technologies to provide traceability data. For the structural storage of data, fTRACE uses the latest version of the global standard EPCIS. Thanks to close ties to GS1 Germany, fTRACE is directly involved in the development of this standard.

Optimum performance

The solution, which is almost entirely based on microservices, uses Elasticsearch as a persistence layer in the backend, as well as a graph database to speed up data retrieval. DynamoDB is used for linking together interrelated supply chain data and Apache Kafka provides asynchronous data processing to decouple data delivery from data preparation. Furthermore, a wide range of technologies have been integrated to optimise the user experience for the customer.

Global scalability

In order to scale resources as quickly as possible, the solution uses a cloud-based infrastructure. By operating in the cloud, computing and storage resources can be expanded quickly and flexibly. Moreover, the software products have already been designed with maximum scalability in mind.

Tried-and-trusted security

Data is kept permanently safe and protected against third-party access by using the latest encryption technologies. Data retrieval is secured by an SSL connection and the encryption algorithms are regularly checked and updated. The data centres of the cloud service provider are located in Germany.

ISMS certification

The security of the entire system is documented by the certification of the solution in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001:2013 + Cor. 1:2014 The certification is audited annually by TÜV Rheinland.
